Then why would you not have a REALTOR representing YOU when buying a home? There's no cost to you, it doesn't increase the price of the home and you have someone on your side representing your best interest.

A REALTOR has unlimited resources to assist you in your search. They also can help you negotiate with a For-Sale-By-Owner. Your REALTOR can also represent you with a new home builder.

Would you use the same attorney the other person is using to sue you to represent you? If you buy a new home without a REALTOR your dealing with the sales person that works for and represents the builder. It does not increase the price and there's no cost to you. The builder is not going to drop the price because you don't have a REALTOR so why not?

Your REALTOR can help you negotiate price, financing, terms, date of possession and requested repairs. He/she can provide you information on local communities, utilities, zoning, schools, etc. They will help you with homes inspections for termites, dry rot, asbestos, faulty structures, roof conditions, septic systems and much more thought their network of qualified professional. They will guide you though the whole process up to and beyond closing.
